No debate. Even if you assume the worst, I'm all for it. I'd gladly tip for a chance to see the old paint ;)

Sunbathing Girls Fell Asleep Before Train Crash

There's an area in Seattle (I think near Magnolia) that was a magnet for morons walking on active curved track away from roads to become targets for trains.

    Prr Hh-1

If you do advanced image search on Google you can choose only full color images. Here's a "PRR T-1" Search As usual, tons of irrelevant stuff, but some hits. Below is the most impressive of the bunch IMHO. Live Search lets you filter down to color after typing in your search (though some...

    DC or DCC??

Aztec's Online Catalog - DCC Frames in N Scale Aztec's Online Catalog - N Scale Plug and Play Frames for DCC with Sound They exchange the metal bits of the frame for ones that are milled out for the decoder and the speaker. They do ones for non-sound too, but it's the speaker milling that...

    DC or DCC??

Agree about the sound making it pricey. For my first foray it's under $40 for an Atlas loco and $25 more for an Aztec frame for the speaker and about $60 for the decoder, so the decoder and milled frame are more than 2/3 the cost. Hopefully this weekend I'll get a chance to solder the speaker...

An interesting B&O box car of 1867

Wow, thanks for linking this in your Gondola thread. It's been really nice to catch up on this equally impressive earlier project. You're a true master craftsman. Jason

Isn't the point of most heritage schemes, from RR management's perspective, to be able to get a few pennies per loco and car from Athearn, Atlas, et al? Jason

Lake Terminal RR. 66’ gondola of 1899

It's nice to see them running. They're impressive already. I thought the exact same thing as Russ about the length. Somehow laying by themselves they didn't seem like they'd be as long as the loco and tender. They're going to be something to see loaded up. Jason

    Trucklover's Shelf Layout Thread

I ordered his grass tool, too. Good stuff in play tests. I'm looking forward to using it on the layout. All his stuff is fairly priced and listed every day.

You may be right. The PRR is already hanging on a wall in the Chi-Omega-Omega Chi-Omega-Omega frat house.

    The park project

The good thing about a model is it can be as it should be, or as it is at its best. I love having it without the rusty chain link fence that always seems to be around them in too many parks. There is an old logging loco (I think it's a Heisler) unfenced in Lewiston, ID, so some places can...

    Cat jumps

Nah, but a wife in Vet school who worked at an emergency clinic for a few years. Actually dogs are worse overall for eating things, everything from Kotex to knitting needles.

    Decals

Clover House Model Railroad Supplies - Clover House You have to mail in your order, and sometimes things are out of stock, but I know the N scale decals I've ordered from him have been nice.

    Cat jumps

Cats in the layout room are bad juju. Losing an engine sucks, but paying a vet $300 to extract LPBs from a kitty tummy and facing down the wife about it would scare me more.

I think Classic Metal Works and Woodland Scenics are now hard at work on the Moron's Rig on the Rails mini-scene.
