    When i had my layout in the garage, my main problem was mice eating my mountains. The mountains were made up of chicken wire, paper towels and spackle... nothing very appetizing, but to them it was a buffett - lol no more garage layouts for me...

    MIchael has a question for the gang here? Are some DCC companies proprietary and require their decoders and their controllers to be matched? As long as the NMRA standards are followed by the manufacturer, DCC is DCC is Dcc, is this correct? I do understand that sometimes a "garbage" decoders'...

    13 year old hit by train after graffiting another

    POOR LIL FELLA , The schools systems need to educate the kids exactly the severity of what those metal rails are cabable of, id summize it as, grabbing a wire and not thinking that it is on, then whammmo, someone turned it on... :( I hope his friends now realize not to play with REAL trains...

    Soldering rail joiners

    I usually use a Q-tip with some alcohol on it or a simple pink pencil eraser . Just blow the joint to be done first to rid the area of rubber of any wet alcohol.. Heat sink the area by using tha alligator clips as mentioned in an earlier post, this will control any excessive heat from melting...
