can u make your layout larger? bigger than a 4 by 8? then you be able to create a town in the middle and have a few buildings on the sidings... this is what i believe squidbait was referring too.

I am really happy with my NEC dcc system - inexpensive ($150 ) and can be upgraded easily... The decoders are a tough nutt to crack with the price. I got a few elcheapos for about $15 a pop. They just regulate the engines speed and the headlight can go one solo w/o the engine running. my $0.02 .

To me its a matter of how you put your hours to work for you. It seems for me that I can just get online for only a few minutes and wham, I am online for several hours. I know of a lot of ppl who have imaginary layouts, thats right, all of their equipment is still in their boxes just waiting...

Hi, I had read somewhere, perhaps here on the gauge, that any fresh lichen, twigs and shrubs, will develop bugs over time. I believe the quick fix to this is a few seconds in the microwave..... hope this helps...
