Like a lot of other members, I never had the privilege of meeting Robin but he was certainly a guiding presence on our forum. He was always willing to share his ideas, techniques, and how to's with everyone. His passing left a void that is still felt today..... and as final tributes go...

Thanks, Galen... I ran out of the "real thing" a while back, now I am using "Aged Driftwood Solution" that I get from: Dr. Ben at www.drbens.com . This is a lot easier to work with, and it delivers the same results IMHO. I also get the stone blocks there, look for Dr. Ben's Baby...

Thanks, Josh... but this one has really racked up the man-hours for me. All that stone work, and cutting & gluing stripwood really adds up. I'm glad I did this one, but I'd need to think hard about doing another anywhere in the near future. I am waiting on turn-buckles and wire at present, so...

A friend in the high country sent this to me today... this morning in Helena, MT. a deer jumped from an overpass onto a standing string of cars being worked by BNSF. Even with the photo, this is unbelievable !!! Bob

John, I coated my side rods and several sets of car wheels that needed it, over six months ago and they are still looking good. Always glad to help out another fellow Hoosier (I grew up in Evansville...) Bob :wave:

Count me in on that, CNWman... I have 3 cross-overs and 12 turn-out's and have never had a problem to date.

Neolube is a great product and it is conductive... which really makes it great for wheel touch-up jobs. Bob

Check out the prices at Sears on their compressor's... I got mine there for $89.95. It has 125 lbs max. pressure, and a 2.5 gal. tank. It beats the heck out of canned air... those are really problematic. I have a Badger 350, but recently bought a second air brush at Harbor Freight (for 9...

Kansas City is fortunate to have about 6 shows locally each year, and I try to make all of them, and the farthest I have driven to another show, is to the St. Louis Divisional NMRA show. The Divisional/Regional NMRA shows seem to be the best bang for the buck, so far. Bob
