We'll see. The model is an unfolded game model, which has a few intersections but nothing that would prevent it from being easy to build. As far as a Falcon goes, I could probably squeeze in a small model on the PDF version. :thumb:

Some people carry their feelings about on their shoulders. Personally, I know I have released a few models without properly beta-testing them, but those models I designed from the ground up to be paper models and had a better than average chance of being buildable. I don't do that anymore...

I *think* that's the one! It's the one in the commercial where the little blond kid picks up a toy starfighter and then a flight of real fighters fly overhead. I am almost certain this is the same one; the engines are similar to the Normandy's and it has a 'forked' appearance top-down.

This thing is looking so cool! I really need to play this game . . . Hay SJS, I saw this fighter in the advertisement for ME3; I have no idea what class it is, but I was wondering if you would be willing to consider modeling it. It would make a great companion to the Normandy. :wink:

That's been a point of contention for a long time. Robert Brown pointed out on his page that those areas are too obviously docking ports for them to be where the escape pods are, plus there are only two and in ANH the officer mentions *several* of the escape pods were jettisoned. But it looks...

Actually, white LEDs with a light blue filter would probably look better. Blue LEDs are very saturated, almost a royal blue. Of course, if that's what you're going for then more power to you. :thumb:

:eek: Its to the point where I'm really looking forward to your posts! With this much detail, you could almost just build it without textures and spray-bomb it with gray paint. I also like how some of the seams are hidden by panels. This will make the model look a lot cleaner once it's finished.

Actually, unless you're specifically barred by a hush order from whoever owns the pictures, you're free to post screenshots. They fall under fair use, because they represent much less than ten percent of the finished product (the DVD you got them from, the book in the library, wherever . . .)...

The heat-shrink is to attach the LED to the fiber optics without glue. Most glues, including epoxies and superglue, will etch the fiber and drastically reduce the amount of light they transmit. White glue however is superb for attaching fiber optics to the holes you drill/punch through the...

I don't know about lighting kits, but I know www.thefiberopticstore.com is THE best place to buy the stuff. There's barely any minimum order and you can get as much as you need. Once you get the fiber optic filaments, get an LED, bundle enough together that they're roughly the same diameter...
