Does anybody have any segestions on how to make guard /guide rails ? I have some typical western PA roads that run along hillsides in my layout and guard rails are needed. I haveexperimented but have not come up with anything yet. Better yet does someone make and sell these things ?

Comming from an area with quite a few abondoned mills I must say that looks very good. Unfortunetlly abandoned mills and factories are becomming all to common everywhere in this country.

From what I can tell the 9 3/4 turns are fine for most deisel loco's . The 4 wheel truck variety are best. The passenger cars could be a little problem though. They tend to be quite long and all though they will likely make the turns you might want to go with a wider radius for looks . I used 9...

Well living in Pittsburgh I see much more NS than CSX and have yet to see csx and conrail mixed. NS seems to have gotten the majority of the lines around here maybe do to CSX allways having lines in this area. I think NS took over the big rail yard here though.

Actually Conrail was divided betwwen CSX and Norfolk Southern. I don't see as much of the CSX around my area but it is also very common still to see Conrail engines , and cars to be mixed with NS.

Thanks . Its just an old drafting table . I tool the top of and built off the table frame. Its officially 58" x 32" . The outside track is not 9 3/4 but the next standard turn radius and the inside is a combination of the two.
