Since my roads are made of shirtbox cardboard I use it between the rails too. Its easy to cut and adjust and easy to make look like cement or wood ( with a little paint) It takes a few pieces to get to the right level but it seems to have worked fine for me .

where do you get buildings like the one you have thats on the funny angle ? I have great use for a building like that one but all the kits are made sguare and flat . Not real good for a western PA layout .

There a few pages back by now I'm sure. I think they were titled "first pics of my layout . My layout is just a little bigger , 58 x 32 and I have 2 sepperate tracks . One is just a loop around the outside and one similar to what you're doin without the sidetracks .

That is a similar plan to what I am curentlly doing. I don't think I was even that high with the bridge . It was like 1 7/8" or something . You can restrict yourself to trains that aren't very tall which looks better on a small layout anyway. The grade is a little steep but the engine climbs it...

Lik e some I started with just a general idea of what I wanted to do. I layed the track and now I'm just building as I go . The addition I'm gonna do however is being more planned in advance.

I think #2 will give you a nice layout space and atill leave you some good space for the TV ( with room to sit back and watch it).

well since the stripper thing doesn't seem to be getting much support I do have a few things in mind . I currentlly am building in N scale and that much room would give me unlimited possibilties. I have worked a lot with HO though. The suggestions about decide what kind of trains your gonna run...

The entire can or bag of tabacco could be used. Just let it sit open for several days so that it goes stale "dries out " and it can easilly be ground up into dust and small pieces too . But at the bottom is allways just the right sized stuff .

Well a bar at one end with a stage and brass pole at the other end for the strippers !!!!!!! As for how to lay a train out in that much space I wouldn't know where to start either .

Well this might sound silly but as a smoker (unfortunetlly) and one who roles his own cigarettes , I found that at the bottom of a bag of tabacco is more or less dust and small peices that when sprinkled over the ground give the look of fall leaves on the ground. Its a liitle dark at first but...
