Believe me, those kind of grain hopper cars used to be around. In the 80's I used to unload 25 car trains of those pink cars with corn from Iowa. It was quite a sight.

It's on a 36" x 80" hollow core door mounted to a set of folding legs. Hasn't fallen down yet!

The water ripples were certainly not intentional it just sort of came out that way. I did pour it fairly slowly not knowing how the stuff would really set up.

Added a few more. Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. Don't recall where I got any of the autos. Everything from the original track plan was included. Also added a third staging track and a second industry track by the mill since I used a 36" door. Jack

Have never taken a train trip and just lately have been investigating Amtrak routes so my wife and I could have the experience of riding a passenger train. Stuff like this makes me wonder though...... Could you imagine this happening in Europe? :(
