Not a bad idea, or why not just build it out of white card and spray it with something akin to Plasti-kote Brilliant Metallic Spray paint - it won't have anything like the relective qualities of the mirror card, but would be better than any flat colour that would come out of your printer. BTW...

I think that wearing the helmet under studio direction and wearing 'for real' warrants slightly more visibility than the micro dots would allow :-D . You could always get the lens from one of those cheap wraparound sunglasses and glue that on the inside. As for the mouth grille - is it...
