I'll have to drive over and see what they are about. I have their address. I can ask the members at the club meeting tonight to see if anyone has dealt with them.

    Spectrum 8-40C Performance

I have both and old run and the newer run of the Bachmann Dash 8. I had to do some tweaking to the older one to get it to run right. I am impressed with how much better the the newer design is. If you are having problems with an older one I would suggest sending it back to Bachmann for...

    Prescott train show

The road is like a washboard the whole way. Most of it is the old right of way of the old Bradshaw Mountain Railroad. This photo shows some of the switchbacks.

Those roads are fun to travel. My wife doesn't like traveling roads through the mountains, should have seen her gripping the dash when I took her up to Crown King.

Nice finds Don. Glad you had a good time too. I found a $10 box lot with a few things I have been looking for. The best thing I found was an A-B-A set of HO Train Miniature Alcos for $40. My wife got a Spectrum E33 for $40.

    Prescott train show

We had a great turnout at the show. It was great to see you all again and hope you had a good time and the trip was worthwhile. I was so busy entertaining and answering questions that I didn't take any photos. I did find time to grab a few deals.

You may have an even better chance to find those kind of deals this year. Both my son and I will be busy helping out with the show this year.

    Prescott train show

Oh yea, One of the N scale members will have a table set up at the swap meet with some of his and the clubs excess N scale inventory. If there is anything specific any of you are looking for, let me know ahead of time and I may be able to set it aside (or find it) for you.

Yes, We get that same room. I think it's nice to be able to set up where people don't have to pay to see the trains run. We also get to set up the day before and then lock the room until the day of the show. That makes it a whole lot easier. I'm planning to bring my small N scale layout...

    help finding new Alco shells

Thanks, the coupler box also holds the shell on the frame on this old Bachmann. The mounting pad is on the chassis. The shell is put on the chassis, the coupler box slides into the pilot and onto the pad. Once the screws are installed the box keeps the shell on. The shell in the photos was for...

    help finding new Alco shells

Thanks Josh, A #5 KD and box (with the ears trimmed off) fits into the pilot. I built up the area around the box with styrene and filed it to shape. Great research on #315:thumb: I haven't found any Hi-Adhesion trucks yet.

    help finding new Alco shells

I have done this with a number of models. I build a coupler mounting pad first. After I get the couplers mounted and adjusted I cut and fit a filler plate in the Gaping hole. Then add some pilot details if desired.

A closer look at the layout.

I started on the next section. It is rewired, most of the turnout machines are fixed ( I have 3 turnout machines to repair and I have to install one of the turnout control panels) and I started repairing the damaged scenery.

I'm not sure what happened to the link. I had to hunt for the thread the first time to find it. I found it again http://forum.zealot.com/t101632/
