I usually finish the benchwork first, lay track, then do scenery. However with the N scale layout we are restoring we are doing it as sections. I find it nice to see trains running on it already and look forward to doing the next section.

Alot of nice dreams we all have. So why wait for someone to give you the money. Think about where the last $1000 you spent on your RR came from and start saving for your dream. Make your own dreams come true. I would buy a bunch of roundtoits to finish all the projects I have going.

I have the switch machines all wired and working. I cut a rectangular hole in the fascia and mounted the Acme control panels into it. I scabbed a piece of 3/4" plywood behind it for re enforcement. I glued in a piece of plywood in the gaping hole above the controllers and smoothed it out...
