Thanks, Ed. I've always liked Tyson's work, especially the micro layout he did a couple of years ago. That was one that got me thinking about building small layouts. Here are a couple of progress photos. It takes a while to build up a mountain when you only go 1/2" at a time!:D

That looks good, CSX. I like the clump foliage and am using it on my current layout.

My step-daughter likes trains. She even watches the real ones go by our house. She does pretty well running the trains on my layout and is less destructive than my nephews are.

Well, it's less messy that way.:D

An update. I added some palm trees, gloss on the water, and did some touching up. It's the "90% of the time to do 10% of the work" time.
