Hah, Feb already. How about your new paint job or road?

Actually, I like that scheme. Reminds me of the Chessie gold locomotive. Great photos, everyone! :thumb:

    new prairie layout

Hey, Collyn. Musket Miniatures makes figures and covered wagons that would be appropriate. I don't know about the Indians, but 10 mm scale wargaming figures can be used for N scale, you might try to find some of those.

    Nice prototype RR

Hey Coach C. Thanks for posting those pictures. I didn't realize that CSX had sold that line. I agree, it would be a nice one to model, with some great scenery, too.

    Kato unitrack

Ditto. For me, the ease of construction and reliability were what sold me on Unitrack. I've used it on my last 3 layouts. This is easy to do. If you have, say 9 3/4" radius curves, you can use a short section of a larger radius as a transition between the straight track and the smaller...

New Power for the Bear Point RR

Thanks! I haven't decided what I'm going to do, yet. Probably some sort of custom scheme for the Bear Point RR. The paint that's on there is cracked and peeling, but with an all metal shell, it shouldn't be too difficult to repaint. Any suggestions?

New Power for the Bear Point RR

...well, new to me, anyway. A Minitrix 0-6-0 that I got off of E-bay. Runs great, but needs a new paint job.

They had some neat touches, too, like the crossing signals and the turnouts. Of course we had to ride it. Going through the tunnel. One last shot. You know you've got it bad when you railfan the train at the zoo.train97

Not any more. My wife said it took up too much space in the garage! ;)

...that Norfolk Southern has gotten out of steam? Here's a picture of one of the locomotives at the train ride at Zoo Atlanta. It's a neat little engine (would love to have it in my back yard :D), but it'll never replace 4501!

    New, Small N Layout

Welcome to The Gauge, Killer! You've come to the right place. We have a lot of experienced, friendly, and thrifty modelers on this forum. Here is a link that I think would help you. It is a tutorial on how to build a small layout in a similar space to what you have. It starts out as...
