Ed - The reason I asked is that, assuming you run counter clockwise, all of the spurs are "trailing" except for the two by the Glass Plant. The lower of the two could be used to get to the Heavy Machinery place, but it looks like it would be difficult to spot cars at the Glass Plant.

Owen - Did you try doing a web search for things like Davenport, diesel, whatever? BTW - I think spookshow's web site isn't being updated, and he's out of the hobby. As far as I know he doesn't frequent the Gauge. Still a useful site at times, though.

I've seen everything from 22" to 48" touted on different web sites - guess it depends on the number of operators expected and how much room they take up (plan for future expansion on both counts!:D). I'd recommend starting with even something wider than the 30" you proposed, maybe 36", and...
