    If im right i found out later that the 'Greyhound' ship may actually be based on the USS Kidd but im not sure - initial info said it was the Leutze but whatever the case the film is a great homage to the ships and their crews of all sides. Mr Hanks certainly makes great wartime media.

    so here we are, the one place to find all my mess that will end up being the USS Leutze, a Fletcher Class destroyer used in WW2, made famous by Tom Hanks movie 'Greyhound' - these ships were nicknamed as such for their speed and manoeuvrability when sailing, used primarily for protecting...

    wow im quite happy with keeping covid to a once in a lifetime experience, ironically we picked it up at a hospital appointment lol - we were lucky/careful enough to avoid it for the past 4 years but copped the variant that is currently rife in our area. Im in a bit of a catch 22 with the vaccine...

    Wild Berries

    there are berries locally, apples too - we have alot of wildlife like foxes, badgers, owls, woodpeckers, grass snakes slowworms etc. Lucky to live with countryside one side and sea the other, grankids love it

    bit more of an update, lots of VERY small parts added to the deck, slowly starting to work my way up the structures. Still plenty to add yet trying to keep it as tidy as i can (paper ship newbie) but its slowly coming along :bulgeeye:

    ive done the Black Pearl (a while back) as a plastic kit, but did as much detailing as i could - when i did the rigging i coated the cotton with pva once i put it in place, which helped some. ill try this again with the railings i think, and see how a trial run goes - failing that im thinking...
