I think the separation issue of the DCC bus wires is over emphasized...After all, the tracks themselves are "buses", and they're only a little over 5/8" of an inch apart (HO)...even less on N. So, unless you have a humongous layout, a couple of inches will do....

I had a similar problem with an F3 (FSM) I purchased....It was DCC ready as well, but the lights didn't work until I put a decoder in it....

Not being familiar with the other two systems, I can't say either way. The only thing I need do to run multiple trains is assign a throttle to an engine, and off I go....I can't see where the other systems could be simpler....Now this suits my operations quite well, as I operate alone, and can't...

Hi...I differ from Squidbait's assesment. I can run up to 6 trains on my Zephyr (if I had the space/inclination) to do so. I have run 3 at once, all independently controlled. I have also set up different control stations around the layout, so I can control whatever needs to be done up close...

I think you're right....That happens to me (and probably most of us..) as well. If I've put something off for some time, it's probably because there's something wrong with it. Once you realize this, it's better to set it right, even if it means tearing down a section, or the whole layout. Maybe...

Hi...Does the box say "DCC Ready"..?? If it does, all you need is a decoder (of whatever brand will control this loco), with an 8-pin plug. The plug will connect to a built-in plug in the loco. If it does not say "DCC Ready" you will have to "hardwire" the decoder. That gets to be slightly...
