It looks great, Martin. Thanks for another great movie model.

    Star Trek Model instructions.

Lack of directions is a common problem with downloaded paper models. There is no perfect solution. I've abandoned a couple before after giving up trying to understand what goes where. It's kind of like assembling a jigsaw puzzle sometimes. With experience, though, you do start to understand...

    bigger models?

One of the chief advantages of paper modeling, I think, is that with a bit of effort you can adjust the size of a model if you wish. This includes enlarging them. There are various ways to do this but the easiest is to simply scale it up in your PDF viewer. In enlarging you usually have to print...

    Greetings from Texas

Yes, welcome to Zealot, Sir. I used to live in Denton and it's a great town. Your discovery of paper modeling reminds me of my own experience with it. I'd done cardstock architectural forms off and on over the years, but never discovered the way cool paper model movement until I ran across it on...

    Preserving your card models

That sounds like it was made for us, all right. Somebody needs to try it out and give us a review here. Your Clay Alley has the best price I've seen, at $13.75,http://www.clayalley.com/glue.htm It's also at The Crafty PC, but $15.95 there, http://www.thecraftypc.com/pryomeii.html.

    Build a whole Saxony village!

That really is an entire town. It's got 2 churches, a couple of grocery stores, a locksmith with sort of a factory ("B5: Schlosserei") and even a large wheelwright shop. Here's a Google translation to English...

Check out this Smoking Steam Engine.

(Cough! Cough!) Yes, this guy's gotta be a bachelor, alright. There's not much chance of him changing that status anytime soon, either. But wow! What a big layout.

    Paper Size & Weight Confusion

You've touched upon a problem most all card model downloaders face at some point. A4 paper is 210 x 297 mm (8.3 x 11.7 in). While only slightly narrower than the US letter paper standard, the length can be an issue sometimes. Luckily, though, I find many, if not most, A4 models can be printed on...

    Useful Paper Modeling Tools

That is a serious tool collection you've got there. I'm most impressed by the dapping tools and the punch set. I've got to get a set of punches like that, too.

    hot glue gun

There are some differences between PVA glues, I believe. I've done pretty well with Alene's. Wood glue is super strong, but you have to be careful where you put it because it dries with yellowish color.

    1/144 British Airways Concorde

Oh, yes! Sorry. I missed the last picture. It looks good to me. This is one of those I've meant to build myself and have had on the back burner for years.

    1/144 British Airways Concorde

That was a beautiful plane, alright. I saw it take off from close range the one and only time it came to Texas. I'll never forget that. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished build.

    Jules Vern's NAUTILUS

You did a great job on Jon's Nautilus, RG. I love the pic of Nemo in the wheelhouse. I spend a lot of time at a forum devoted to Nautilus modeling, nautilussubmarine.com, and I can say even those guys would be impressed.

    hot glue gun

Let us know how that works out for you. Personally, I avoid hot glue guns as much as possible. I find it way to easy to make a stringy mess of everything, but also because of it's low melting point. This may not be as much a problem with paper modeling since you want to store paper in a pretty...

    Tiny Titanic model

This inspires a thought. Someone recently made a Guinness World Record for building the biggest paper model of the Titanic (something like 8 feet long). I wonder if they'd record the smallest paper model of it?

Original TV Series Batmobile Sells For $4.2 Million At Auction.

Back in the '60s, I saw one of the 5 stand-in Batmobiles used on the show for exterior long shots and such. It was at the Dallas Autorama custom car show. It was not nearly as impressive as the original, I'm sure. The fiberglass body had warped areas and cracks. The windshields were not as well...
