I'm forever meaning to pick up a larger one, for sure. One thing I try to do with mine is to only use it for cutting paper. I never glue or paint over it as many modelers do. I try to keep it as clean as possible.
I'd say after you finally cut yours in half it will definitely be to find a...
I think this may be the absolutely coolest movie vehicle paper model download I've ever seen and I've seen pretty much all of them. Christmas came in February this year, guys. Grab this one quick.
I'm thinking UHU may be designing the most detailed submarine paper model ever-- certainly the most detailed one I've seen. We must be patient, though. I thought you guys might like to see this BTS shot of the filming model I ran across on another forum.
I've seen this seller's stuff over on @tsy and wondered about what they were actually selling. I suspected that if they don't mind selling products with potential licensing issues they might not be too straight with buyers, either. Sorry to hear you had a problem with them. I love the concept of...
Great models and great pics, Fräulein Cylongirl. I'll be watching your work closely. Also, you may be the first forum member I've seen who actually resembles their celebrity avatar :).
Yes, with paper models it's not a bad idea to do a test print or so to determine the precise scale, just to be sure. I never entirely trust printers. That is going to be an interesting project, all right. So is all the coloration going to come from your computer printer? That's going to be a lot...
Awesome, indeed. It's extraordinary projects like this that bring positive attention to the often neglected paper model segment of the modeling hobby. Bernard's Falcon has been getting a lot of deserved attention from mainstream web journalists and social media. Even one of my fav Silicon Valley...
That's a good idea. I'll have to try some if those. I've used nail clipping scissors for such purposes for years, but it looks like those are designed to cut straight lines well. Check eBay. I seem them listed for well under $5 there...
Scientific American came up with this interesting variation on the paper airplane that sort of reminds me of the rare loop-shaped Enterprise.

That is utterly fabulous. The man's skills do seem limitless. I'm picturing this one on the shelf next to my rosin Talos. I may have to use the air can twice a week to keep this one dust free, but it will be worth it.
That does look great, Tonino. The metal foil certainly gives it a solid look. I've seen the Metal Earth line before, but they seem to have added a lot since then. I've got to try one sometime.
I haven't thought about the Lindberg Weird-Ohs in long time. This one got my attention because my first name is Wade and my middle initial is "A". We also had the motorcycle guy, as I recall. That was a good one, too.
If you can manage with plastic an AMTronic can be picked up for as little as $11 on eBay. It shouldn't be too hard to strap on a pair of outrigger thumb drives and you'll have it.
This kind of reminds me of a shuttle version somebody did based on the old AMT AMTronic car. It came out pretty neat, but it's not the same as the Jeffries.

After printing a model, I always lay out the pages and spray them with fixative or a clear varnish like Krylon. That helps prevent accidental smudges during assembly.
Well, we can forgive you, but the refit Enterprise is supposed to be appx 1000 ft/305 m. long, which divided by 200 is 5 ft/1.5 m. BTW, ThunderChild's DS9 would only need to be about 24 ft or wall-to-wall in my garage.
