The "Original" Kittom Lumber Company. Part #2

In keeping with the theme of primitive logging equipment I felt it was time to weather the old Class A Climax to have it look like it too had been around a bit. Thanks for looking. Doc Tom

I am amazed at the overall size of this nice model. It represents just how sophisticated and advanced 1840s railroads were. The new transportation system was really taking off. Doc Tom

The "Original" Kittom Lumber Company. Part #2

I have been doing a little more modeling recently. The “Original Kittom Lumber Company” is an attempt to recreate the early steam technology used in logging circa 1910. So when I read about the Kilgore Log loader in the 2017 On30 Annual I new I had to build one. Here is the patent from 1890...

......or consider bringing ground cover up to the edges of the building and masking the gaposis. Fortunately the real world is not entirely flat and there are undulations in all scenes. Doc Tom

That is a nice shot. Have you tried converting photos to Black and White? That too imparts an old time look to pics. Might like to see a side by side of this photo and the original lithograph. Might be fun to also display the Litho. at the upcoming show. Keep up the good work!!!:Bravo: Doc...

The "Original" Kittom Lumber Company. Part #2

We are back in business! This summer my old railroad shed gave up the ghost and became termite city. We tore it down and prepared for a new mini train house. The Amish/Mennonites from the area in Kentucky in which I work built a new train house that was sledded into a position. We have...
