    Another Layout Thread

Looking good! :thumb: I really like your idea of painting the cork, Will have to remember that, that would have made me happier with my current layout as in a few places the cork shows through. Can't wait to see more!

Do you belong to the NMRA ?

I am a member and we are creating our own division. We are about four hours away from the Wasatch Division so whenever someone wanted to do anything in the achievement program had to wait for a judge to drive down here so that didn't happen very often. Our application has been approved by the...

Here we go! Gotta start somewhere.

That turned out good! I was just looking at a picture of the old Altoona Shops yestersday and the tracks curved like that out out the building so hey, you're prototypical! Did you fit the whole roundhouse in there or did you cut off the back? When I built mine, I was missing a door as well, just...

    KATO's UP Heritage Units

Squidbait, I always thought that GP60m's had a pretty unique look to them as well. I wonder if in 50 years we will think SD70ace's look pretty compared to the SD140's that UP will then own a couple of thousand of :-)

Wow! A little out of my price range though. Wonder how much work it is to keep that engine up and running.

Another reason to go to Micheal's craft stores

Those look great on the layout. I am guessing that is an HO layout. How would they look in N scale, would the grass be too tall?

Here we go! Gotta start somewhere.

I have that roundhouse! That was one of the first models I build after getting back into the hobby, was really easy to put together, however, I have no idea when I will use it. It would fit ok inside a bend track balloon module, maybe when we build the third length on our modular layout. The...

    KATO's UP Heritage Units

Since I now have a FrontRunner train, that puts my future layout at 2008+, so they are just right for me. :-) And since they are western, even better ;-) Definately want to get at least the the UP Flag (as they seem to be all over the place) , but also want the Rio Grande and Southern Pacific.

Looking great! That looks like a fun little layout! You guys that are brave enough to build your own switches are really impressing me. I don't know if I'll ever do that.

    Weekly Foto Phun 10/10-10/16

Well this has been my project for the week, I took my LRV and a sounder f59 and Mooreway and I airbrushed them. What do you think of our first airbrushed engines? Here is what they looked like: We know they don't match the prototype, but they are close enough to keep me happy, for...
