Why do i need a powered "B" unit to my F7"A"?

But also, think about this: If you have 10 engines in 1 block and want to simulate a couple of large mu consists, then you would eat up your 3.5 amps from your DCC controller. If you have a couple of dummy units in those consists, nothing lost.:thumb:

    My Freight Train Pics

My reason for buying the units from tower55 is this: The paint scheme will never be done again, thanks to UP sign1 , and the units are not available from any other manufacturer right now. The detailing of the units is picture perfect, as is the paint.:thumb:

    Question about current set-up

Heres something to think about though, you could always invest in some dcc equipped locos and run them now on dc without any alterations, and when you can finally go to dcc, they will be ready.:thumb:

    Question

I believe the main reason dummy units were sold: 1) to give the appearance of multi-unit 2) to not draw the extra amperage of a second unit 3) so you could have a yard full of engines (on dc) and only 1 running around:D

    My Freight Train Pics

sign1 I was looking at mine earlier and noticed the mu hose wasn't in the hanger and tried to put it in it. Needless to say, I pulled the hanger loose to do this and dropped the little booger on the floor. I spent at least an hour looking for it. When it was finally found, I said it wasn't...

The tower55 units have brass railings, grab irons, and misc detail parts. Thats the only thing I didnt like about the units. Nothing to do to them but run them:D

Removing the shell from a Bachmann loco

I've got a couple of spectrum dash9's and the way to take the shell off is to remove the couplers first, and then squeeze in the middle of the walkway, just like the athearns, and lift up.:thumb:
