    Puddlejumper's (lack of) layout progress...

The Potomac Shop turned out some freshly repainted work equipment today as shown here. I forgot to buy "Data" sets in black, so my MW fleet will have to do without for a few days. All equipment will get weathered when done, except for a couple of cars I want to leave fresh and new to...

    Really bashed vehicles.

I was incorrect. The flathead was the same I think for it's entire production, what I was thinking about was the Mercury Flatty which had a 4" crank and hence more CID than the Ford, which I thought was only in 1953 but again, I was wrong and it seems it was bigger than the Ford for it's entire...

Freelancers: Show us your paint scheme

No pressure Ralph. I like to collect private road cars. I have cars from the Virginian & Ohio, Alleghany Midland, and Cumberland Western. Used to have a Gorre & Daphetid. I am going to order a pack of Undec hoppers and letter some of them up for trades... Dave

Yeah, some roads did aquire units painted in primer, I don't know if UP ever did. What makes 6344 special is that it is a complete repaint, the gray is the UP finish coat gray, not primer. It seems it was either A.) painted in UP's standard scheme (with wings too!) but without the yellow or...

Thanks Deano! The 0-8-0 was done about 7 years ago with Roman Type Dry Transfers. The Caboose was done about 4 years ago with individual letters. The Box and hopper I did last night, and are not done yet but I was too excited to not show you guys. They represent the B&P's first 2 revenue...

Bump to the top. I want to see more!!! :thumb: :thumb:   I also would be very interested in aquiring HO scale private road hoppers if anybody is willing to sell or trade me for a finished Potomac Line hopper. I got my decals in and now have the ability to finish some...

I got my decals today!!! Below... B&P 800, her tender sweating in the hot summer sun, has obviously been working hard today. Fortunately the shop forman has called her from her duties in the south recieving yard to pull 2 fresh shop cars... B&P 8916, a former PRR H22 hopper, was outshopped...

I am also gald you have that one Deano! There was a model on ebay of UP 6344 that sold for a significant amount of $$$. I don't remember the final price, but more than I would care to pay. She is a unique loco. I know there are several shots and a discussion of this unit on Locophotos.com...

Deano: Forgive me for interjecting some input... This unit, UP 6344 was the only road unit done this way. You'll notice it is in full modern UP scheme, excepting the missing yellow. It was painted by CEECO and is believed to be the product of a misread paint diagram, a mistake that didn't...

    Spiders, Spiders, everywhere....Help!

Last tour at work a coworker got bitten by a spider... he said he didn't know what kind it was... but by the time we were relieved from duty his calf was turning black and moving up toward his knee... I shudder to imagine a spider bite that potent... he did of course go to his physician and has...

While it is a shame to see such a beautiful piece of trackwork get removed I have to agree with you it really didn't belong there. Plus the abandoned track looks great! Nice work on the scenery, also on the tightening up that wiring, looks nice! :thumb: Dave
