That not really a primer, its a color used for simulating the color of something like an unpainted steel bridge. Floquil primer is grey but if you don't have any automobile primer in a spray can will work just fine. Just use a light coat.

Dash, I've used the ferric cholride (circuit board etchant) for the weathering thing. It will make that the siding look like its a 100 years old. Its great for making old rusted out siding but its too strong for light weathering. Paint the siding grey first and then you can add what ever kind...

Here's a pic of how it looked orginally. The shrouding was removed to make maintance easier. The loco was dismanteled in 1940 after it was hit by bomb.
