Yes indeed, yellow and orange are especially transparent colors. They should always be primed with white. Floquil doesn't make a true primer in white but the white color should work fine. If you do want a true white metal primer try using one of the white primers for painting those metal role...

Soak the pencil in water overnight. The wood should just crumble off. BTW see Freddy's post....a large art supply place usually has leads in various sizes and hardnesss.
No kidding on the fix :eek: :) Just be sure its hard lead.....not the soft kind they gave you to write with in the second grade :D :D Pencil lead and motor brushes (for the most part) are nothing but hard graphite which is electrically conductive :thumb:
I find more good stuff for modeling at Big Lots and the Dollar Store than I do at the LHS. Except for their super glue which "stinks on dry ice"...Get that at Wal~Mart

Get a bottle of Model Master Silver Chrome Trim. Mix it well. To apply it to the chromed areas load your brush heavily and just flow it on...DO NOT try to brush it. Not as good as foil but passable :) :thumb:

Essentially, Con-Cor N and HO passenger cars are made by Rivarossi (at least they were). Good quality and detail. The wheels on some though left something to be desired and were better replaced.

Guys, Be aware that a 9V Rechargable battery is not 9 V. Its actually 7.5 volts and charges at 10 -10.5v. They are made up of 6 1.25v cells. (6 x 1.25 = 7.5) Most 9v devices will operate at the lower voltage.
Since nic-cads normally charge at 2.5 - 3.0 volts above rating you must...
Back when we were told that we had to limit our picture size we were also told that animated signatures and avatars were prohibited. Has that restriction been lifted? May we now use them even if they are not linked from other web space? Ain't complaining....just curious. :wave:
