    L&N Coal Hoppers

Hey guys:wave: I recently bought a Bowser 100-ton 3-bay hopper painted for the L&N. What was odd to me though, was that it was mainly orange all over. Further inquiry and research has only told me that the L&N aparently ran unit coal trains with just those orange hoppers. What I can't find is...

    Future Module Plans (Near Furture)

Velcro? As quick and painless as that would probably be, and unless you have straps holding the sheet on, I'd say that the weight of the plexiglass would be stronger than the grip of velcro. I drilled holes in my benchwork to hold my glass on with nuts, bolts and washers, and the whole assembly...

    Flea Market Loco

That is one cool looking engine mate:thumb: Even if it doesn't run, have it as an exhibit in one of your popular areas. Those areas should be close to the tracks to keep the option of the train steaming again open:mrgreen: By the way, your camera skills are definently better than when I started!:p

    Future Module Plans (Near Furture)

At least it still has potential! I think I suggested this idea to you back in one of your other "new layout" threads, but I may be thinking of what I plan to do later on with a large layout. Anyways, I believe the idea here is for a "semi-permament" layout, and best fits your...

How about a scale vehicle thread

Again, some really cool stuff guys! My Old Dominion decals are still on backorder, though, so that project is still shelved. Also, does anyone have or know how to get, and I'm guessing this has been asked before, a 1:87 DeLorean? I just want it for kicks, and also as a nod to Back to the Future:p

    Future Module Plans (Near Furture)

Those are some very nice plans Trucklover! However, do you only plan on running a few at a time, or are these all going to become some sort of portable layout? If the latter, you may want to think about modules that have curves or turntables. That's just IMO, though. Also, two other things: 1...

    Need a numberboard

Hey, no prob man:thumb: You may want to search other sites, though. Walthers is one of the biggest sources of MRR stuff, but some of their stuff can be found elsewhere for cheaper. D'oh!wall1 You're right, I must have had the price mixed up with another high-quality brand like gold line or...

Great pics guys!:thumb: Gary- neat trick! How did you get those lPP (little plastic people for those of you who don't know) in the river? doctorwayne- wow, if I didn't know better, I'd have said that was a prototype shot right there! Words cannot describe your awesomeness:inw::worship::inw...

Mini cam in a "See" Liner

Wow Ralph, you take modeling to the NEXT LEVEL! Not only do you have scale trains, but you seem to now be trying to make a 1:1 scale control system!sign1 The next thing you'll probably do is start turning your house into various train cars...:mrgreen::p

    Need a numberboard

Found it! Walthers Model Railroad Mall -- product information page for 229-2604 ok, so it's for GP35/40's and it's based on UP/WP prototypes, but I think it's close enough:thumb:

    Need a numberboard

It might, but the lowest cost brand Walthers runs is their Trainline stock, and those go for at least $100 dollars (my Trainline was a gift from a friend), so I wouldn't shell out that much for one single part. I agree with GEC, there should be some seperate detail part sold individually for...

    What Shall We Discuss?

What about M.U. ing? I've seen shots of F units, both A and B, that run like one, single articulated engine with two cabs at either end, and otheres where one F unit's nose is to another's backside. I'm just currious about why the latter is used.

    VERY odd question of mine

Oh, no, don't give doctorwayne more ideas along this line, PLEASE!!!!

    Need a numberboard

Well, looking at my Walthers Trainline GP9M, the numberboard looks like it was molded along with the cab itself, although it is missing numberboards.

Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part IV

Hey everyone:wave: Got to go see the eye doctor tomorow for surgery:cry: Hopefully I'll be well enough afterwards to go to the train show at Johnny's Toys and be able to get a bargin:mrgreen: Going to re-paint part of the depot later as part of the restoration project:mrgreen: Can't say much...

How about a Roll-By??? BNSF 54 car Mixed Freight Train (EXTREMELY PIC HEAVY)

Why? Every RR sees mixed freight trains, heck, my RR LIVES of mixed freight trains. Besides, why can't you throw on a flatcar w/ mining equipment or a short passenger train full of workers?

    Building the Riverside Railroad

Upgrading the RRR Freight Depot Guess it's time for another long overdue update:mrgreen: But first, a little history lesson... In 1940, just before WWII broke out, the freight depot was built to replace the old platform that had existed since the CNW originaly built the line, and had since...
