    Trucklover's Shelf Layout Thread

Is it just me, or is that container train on the upper shelf causing the wood to bend inwards? If it is, you may need a support in the middle there. BTW I also saw your Glacier Gravel plant down there, will it be making a come back on your new shelf layout?

Nice! I'd bury the ends of the track with ballast to blend the track in better and add a fence around the loco, but that's just me. Oh, by the way, are those good knuckle couplers on the loco? if this engine won't be pullin' no more, then you could just swap out some Athearn single peice molded...

    Tokyo

It's the cuteness factor, the Japanese just LOVE cats. Don't ask how I know, it involves educational television (GASP!) and a malfunctioning remote:mrgreen:

Come on back to the caboose and get a cup of coffee [or sweet ice tea] Part V

Hey Guys:wave: Went over to my friend John Listerman's to run trains Friday night and had a blast hauling a train of empties through tunnels. I also learned the fate of my "true" first steamer: Bachman Spectrum 2-8-0, no.2781 for the B&O, very nice runner and looker. Untill one of the pins...

Well, back on the Riverside Railroad, I caught Hustler #1116 waiting on the mainline with a small unit train of grain hoppers with a caboose and two B&O passenger cars: Wait a second, B&O Passenger cars and the tail end of a short switch job? The only passenger car I own is my Athearn...

    Saving an Alco RS-1

That was in Cincinnati, and engineers are saying the bridge may have to be destroyed first in order to get the engine out, 'cause the engine is now serving as support. My Recomendation: Avoid bridges if possible

80-Ton Switcher takes out Highway Bridge

sign1Quick, aren't I? I don't think the switcher is a lost cause, the cab top seems to be the only loss in the accident, and should be easy to replace considering only half of it was actualy damaged. As for that Stelco loco, it could very well be a sister of the one in this incident...

80-Ton Switcher takes out Highway Bridge

Yep, read it all here: The Enquirer - Crash closes I-74 east Happened last night, although I only learned about it a few hours ago. I'm curious as to the history of that 80-Toner, although the only clue is the current number. Guess the RR's are trying to inact some revenge on thier eternal...

VERY nice engine!:thumb: I think Deano's gonna say 3985 since he's a licenced UP fanatic who would personaly restore a Beeg (hold on, that's doctorwayne's kick-butt 2-10-20 from the CPR), I mean, Big Boy if he could with his bare hands and 50 boxcars full of (insert Deano's favorite energy drink...

How is that replica staying up there?!? I'd think that even a good little breeze would knock it over, and even if that was somehow prevented the city council would make up a reason that it's not safe. Still, it's really neat!:thumb:

Hmm, do those trapezoid thingies (all weather windows?) move at all? they are in different loc. in the two pics. Also, if you look really hard, 1430's cab # has an outline of darker yellow compared to the rest of the engine's yellow, evidence that 1430 isn't 1421?

"They" don't think it's art.. They think it's a crime.......

Well, sometimes railroad workers use spray cans on cars so that they can just identify cars by their number or which ones are to be junked, would that be considered vandalism?
