Will an ES44DC work on 18" radius?

If it's a Tower 55 model they recommend a 22" radius so the minimum may well be 18 or 20 inches, but as mentioned you may have problems with over hang and such. I've had a T55 model before and really liked it,it's about as close to brass as you're going to get. Chris Chris

I'm not sure, but I don't think so.If it does, yes it would probably look out of place a bit. Chris

Anyone using the MRC railmaster 2400

I have a MRC Tech 4 280 and it was nice when it worked. Now one throttle is dead and the other is buggy so I'm going to have to get a new one. I bought it for like $45 from my LHS so I would consider it over two with the older tech. Chris

    Getting Excited

Regulated Throttle Control:thumb: BLI was in a legal battle on the use of the technology at the time the Northerns came out. Love the 2-10-2,I liked mine when I had it! Chris

    Getting Excited

Getting excited about what?j/k You have good reason to be excited. They're great looking engines, but I prefer my BLI 4-8-4 Northern. The only problem is that they don't have RTC. Chris

Proto 2000 PS-2, my first involved kit build.

Don't they have a large swing bridge in that area?I swear I saw a brass model of a swing bridge that was modeled after a bridge in that area.I really wish I was able to afford it because theres one just like it here at Grassy Point that the NP and now the BNSF uses. Cool that you can model the...

Proto 2000 PS-2, my first involved kit build.

I see your a fellow NP fan!The first track for the NP were laid just 15-20 miles from where I live so it's only natural that I am a fan. Looks daunting to me and with my old eyes and shaky hands wouldn't even try to do one of those Proto 2000 kits.I'll stick to the easy ones from Bowser and...

Longing for the "Good Old Days"?

I agree with most that with exception to the people 50 years from now will look back as models today as crude.Sure there will be technological advances, but how much more detailed can they get then BLI/PCM and the like now?Or how much better will they run?The differences between then and now is...

Longing for the "Good Old Days"?

Yeah. With DCC,sound and a lot of quality products from the bottom up I'd have say the hobby is in pretty good shape. I bought my son a set for X-Mas from model power and it's actually pretty nice.Dual powered UP F's and 5 cars for $55,nice enough detail and a can motor,no fly wheel though,but...

    Cheapest sound equipped steamer?

The Blueline steamers will be priced nicely, you just have to wait for them and you never know how long that will be.The Big Boy has been pushed back several months already and who knows if any of the others will show up on time. They are putting out some nice ones too, like the AC4/5 Cab...

    B L&E I didn't see it at first.

I see B&LE units here all the time with DM&IR units, but never in the lead.I also believe they did send engines back and forth between the two roads as Ive seen BL&E engines lettered for the DM&IR. Chris
