    Liquid electrical tape

It does...try back in the automotive section of WallyWorld or Canadian Tire, should be around the headlights and driving lights toward the electric connectors. Brand name I got from them is Starbrite.

    LED Flasher troubles

They can be bought on eBay for next to nothing - from like 15¢ apiece and up in bulk http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3802511855&category=4663 The 3909 is designed to flash LED's also, and is capable of working on a lower voltage and using fewer parts. Pete

    PayPal usage!

Here's another user who has had no problems. I like it when selling because it's quick - I can have the items out in a day or two of receiving confirmation. And it's also a big factor when I'm looking to buy something, as it saves me time and the cost of getting a money order. Unless it's...

    Accupaint

How about Badger's ModelFlex line...plastic friendly, and although they don't list VIA blue, D&H blue is very close. There's a link to the color chart at the bottom of the page.

Look Out New England We are Coming

If you're going to be in the Bar Harbor (BaaHaaBaa to the locals), one place to go is Acadia National Park, up to a spot called Cadillac Mountain. The drive up is awesome - like an old narrow gauge railway, lots of twists and sharp turns; and then when you get to the top and park, get out and...

    Marker Lights

Here's a few diagrams I found that will add some different effects. Also useful for locomotive lighting. http://home.cogeco.ca/~rpaisley4/xConstLight.html Of course, an LED with the proper resistor works well too;) Pete

    Marker Lights

An easier (?) way to reduce the 12V down to operate your 1.5V lamps might be through the use of diodes instead of resistors. There are a couple of different ways they can be used. I'll see if I can find some diagrams and post them up later... Pete

    Engine model #'s, I'm confused

ID'ing engines is done in a similar manner to ID'ing cars...you just need to know what to look for. Different noses, body style and shape, grille's and their placements, light configurations, etc. make each model unique. Pete

    shipyard cranes.

Pete, I intended to scan these pics in and post them earlier, but it slipped my mind until I saw this post just a few minutes ago. They are from the drydock at Saint John Shipbuilding in Saint John, New Brunswick about September 1985. I'm afraid about the only thing you could scale from would...

Help - Information On Via Rail

I'll volunteer up a couple of overhead views of the (late) VIA Atlantic taken during a stop in Saint John, NB back in September of 1985. These units are Alco FPA4's which can be easily 'bashed from an FA1 or, more preferably, an FA2. Also click here . It only shows up as a link for some...
