I picked MRR,have a sub.but check out RMC for interesting bits. As others, find MRR to be generally more for the "Can you top this?" segment, DCC, high end/RTR rolling stock/structures/Layouts even. RMC still has room for the kit basher/scratch builder/less-than-$$$$$$/full-time hobbiest, though...
