    PRR Passenger Cars

Dave, Hi. This may be overkill for what you need - or a whole new Pennsy horizon. http://prr.railfan.net/ ...lots of PRR info (including passenger car diagrams), and links to much more. Hope this gets you what you need. Bob C.

    My finished project

S-Sam; Congrats on not letting the lack of a R-T-R model stand in your way...a beauty finish on a fine loco - the phone camera cannot disguise your careful craftsmanship ! Bob C.

Any cell (prisoner) cars in H0?

MM, Here's a link to the attribution of the Gunderson "Automax" 2 unit articulated auto racks (with photo) to be used as your source intimated. http://commendatori.wordpress.com/2009/04/03/halliburton-confirms-concentration-camps-already-constructed/ I seriously doubt the attribution, and those...

    out of production model kit

Eric, sorry, I didn't find much either, but brasstrains.ca (I am not affiliated or compensated) has several items in their "Buildings" list by Paige Ent. (looks like logging stuff) - maybe they can give you a steer in the right direction ? Best of luck - sounds like a neat find. More info, maybe...

    pineapple car

PT - Nice build ! It doesn't have to be 150 feet long with 5000 horsepower to impress me ! The structure, texture and paint all look spot on. You said 18" gauge, but what scale is it ? Thanks for the work, and letting us see. Bob C.

    Good steam engines

Mummert, Hi ! Best I can do for you - looking for specific prototype PRR engines in "N" scale is an exercise in frustration, unless you have some desire to modify/build the models. GHQ, for instance makes a 2-8-2 (PRR class L-1s) conversion boiler/cab/tender cast metal kit to modify a Kato...

I Have Been Told This Is Impossible ??

JT, HI ! Just my thinking, the "impossible" judgement may have come from the drawing shown (not a SCALE representation) of what you've built. While your layout doesn't follow a "realistic" track arrangement - kind of a "spaghetti-bowl" - if that's what the CEO wants, OK ! While some of the...

    Pennsylvania Railroad Steam Power.

TopTrain, Hi ! Lovin' the Pennsy Power countdown (Ooops - count-UP?). Had and lost Penn-Line/Bowser G-,H-,K-, and L- engines in a former life. Q: the last Penn-Line E- seems to have a loose or grafted boiler from another P-L engine - G-, maybe ? Thanks for this continuing thread. Bob C.

Bowser, what have you done. WOOO-IS-ME!

Frank, Hi ! Seeing your post, e-mailed Bowser and got the following from Lee English...also queried about possible N steam conversions... Lee English 2:51 PM (8 hours ago) yes we have discontinued HO steam loco kits. parts are...

Help ... to ID this Engine

Being totally UN-familiar with Phillipine railways, but still open to looking like a complete IDIOT...that appears to be a piece of track maintenance equipment, though I can't see anything - wheels/trucks, etc. below the frame, nor couplers/buffers/ID plates or numbers/head-, marker-, or warning...

    signals/control boxes

Wow, been a while - Happy '09 ! Did CN use unusual relay/equipment boxes, or were they pretty much standard? Sounds like a relatively easy scratch project to do one or a dozen (cheaper, too!). But I'm a southerner - maybe one of better CN knowledge could chime in. Bob C.

Do you display your unused trains?

S-T, guess it should be "Welcome Back" ! and congrats on your triumph and recovered health ! You've an impressive display there, and a most interesting "Old School" layout, from what you've shown. May we have some more, please ?,( PICs, that is !) Pleased you're here. Bob C.

    U.S.S Thunderchild

Not to diminish the excellence of the ships, but the crafting of the stands is most impressive. Thanks for the exhibit of skill ! Bob C.

    Using Floquil paint

Lacquer thinner will work, but is sort of the "nuclear" option - mineral spirits will do, and it's lots less volatile (NOT totally SAFE to breathe/near flame). Bob C.

    Walthers cornerstone info. needed.......

Hi Trainsteve - Hey, I don't know about their online info, but Walther's PAPER catalogs and fliers ALL show structure sizes (in inches and often in metric) with the listing - not precise as a footprint template, but helpful. Bob C.

USRA Locos and Related Locomotive Stuff

Gents, I believe the Strasburg RR has and (still) runs a dandy Russian in tourist service - will have a quick look for a photo. http://www.strasburgrailroad.com/pdf/Strasburg-at-50.pdf Best I could do on short notice...#90 in the Pdf is the loco- no exactly real passenger power, but a...
