    Life-Like: Good, Bad, or Ugly?

I have some old and new LL and have happy with it however the new steam has the looks and slow speed but lacks ability to pull much. Seems that the new Steam coming out next from Walthers / LL will have traction tires to improve the pulling ability.

I started out in HO and was away from Model Railroading for about 10 years and when I came back in 1972 I saw N as a neat small scale and have been with it since. I have had medium room size layouts12X13 and large size layouts 15X30. No I would not switch back to HO:roll: . I like the...

    LED Street lights?

I do not know of any commercially made streetlights that use LED's for the bulb. I think that your best bet would be to modify what is available if the LED is a must have.

    Bmann tender electrical pickup conversion

Yes, I did my own using .010 brass shim stock purchased from an auto supply store. I cut the wipers and installed them on each of the 2 trucks making sure that each truck has the insulated side of the wheels all on the same side on each truck and then install the trucks so that each will be...

Thinking Of Converting To N Gauge

Keep in mind that I am not an advocate of any manufacturers product and I purchase all that fit my requirement. Having been modeling in N-scale since about 1970 I have a lot of the older as well as newer Bachmann steam locos, and yes some of the older ones were dogs but the newer ones run...

Grumbeast, I have invested in a Milling Machine for modifying the frames of my locos as I have many locos that are not simply drop-in decoder installations. Yes, installations can be time consuming, one must have patience, good soldering skills with the understanding of electric wiring so...

    electrical blocks question

Another option would be to run your trains with a DCC system and that would eliminate the need for blocks and the wiring that is associated with them:wave: .
