    Google Maps

:thumb: Actually yes, I do it all the time.... I drove a semi over the road and spent A LOT of time in railyards. I have gone on google maps to find the railyards I've been too.... Funny, they sure look a LOT different from above than they feel from the ground! :)

    Blizzard

We got about a half inch overnight here as well, but it is now all gone... It has been "flurrying" all day, but to windy to stick! The wind here has been BRUTAL for 2 days! I drive a flatbed so strapping down has been a real interesting task!!!!! Nothing like throwing a strap and having it come...

    Got a quick shot

I found that pic after I downloaded mine!!! That is definitely a better shot.... I went back with a better camera(35mm) and tried to take it again, but there just wasn't any good places to stop. No sidewalks due to snow and road to busy to walk on road.... I stopped for a second to take this...

    The beginning

I am definitely new at this, but here is the start of my layout. I am VERY limited on space. I have it on a 4X6 where coffee table would normally be. I mounted 2x4's under the plywood to prevent warping. I cut small lines near power and switches to get wires out of the way. Still have to work on...

    Kato stack cars

:thumb: I looked at them at a train show last week. They seem pretty nice and well made. Good price too. $60 for 3 cars with doublestack containers. I priced out other brands and once you buy the doublestack containers, then the cars that pull them you're talking somewhere around $70-75. SO...

    Layout in a unheated/cooled garage

Thanks for the reply... It never gets too hot. usually it gets 85-95 in the summer outside, so I'd say it'll get a bit over 80 in the garage. Is that too hot? Never have the SUN, but it might get the humidity. Like I said, it is insulated so it does pretty good keeping the worst OUTSIDE...
