I understand the necessity for consistency in paint schemes, but wouldn't it be cool if they did more one-offs like this, the heritage group, the eagles and big flags, the cammo-schemes, and various others? It would give all of us foamers a little something more to look at.

I've never messed with the helix function much in XTrkCad, but it looks like it's simply represented with a circle. You create the entrance and exit whever you wish by using the "Join Two Tracks" tool. It will reset the "angular seperation" after you've made both the entrance and the exit.
