    Xtrk cad:no steam?

In the program ... Tools > Car Inventory > Add > New > Car Part Then set up new ones to match your real units. I've not personally created any, but I expect it would be pretty easy. Though I don't know how detailed you can get.

    Saskatoon Trains

Saskatoon! You guys have a budding musician that I recently heard on the radio here in Little Rock. We first saw Kyle Riabko at a Jackopierce concert in St Louis, and the next day at Kansas City. Then on a big 'Great Lakes' drive we saw him on Canada Day in Ottawa. I don't really have much...

    Moving ... by rail.

I think that might be better than my grandmother (same as the train story) working at a furniture store. A couple came in, looked around, asked for a brown paper sack, then left. A few minutes later the police came in asking if anyone had come through there recently - apparently the bank across...

    Moving ... by rail.

My grandmother was born in 1911. That makes her 96 years old this year, June I believe. Tonight I heard a story about her family moving before she was a teenager. They did it by rail in four box cars. "FOUR!?!" was my first thought, but you have to keep in mind that box cars were a bit smaller...

    Getting it in Gauge

I was recently linked to this Wikipedia entry from a comment I made on slashdot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rail_gauge I had no idea the work was done in such a short time. I figured they would have just done sections between stations and effectively moved the break-of-gauge point over...

You've heard it 1000 times before But....

I was debating between HO and N initially and ended up with O. On30 to be exact. My reasons for choosing On30 at the time were A) Detail of O B) Track capabilities of HO C) Kits, bashing, and scratching But I'm enjoying my decision EVEN MORE now ... and for the opposite reason I was...

    Kinda rustic pictures

Well, considering the B/W pictures you've posted are less than 0.3MP I don't think camera resolution is much of an issue here (:

    B-52 Test Flight

I agree that these are really awesome models, but I can't imagine them being much fun to fly after just a few trips to the airfield. It's not like there's just a whole lot you can do with them.

    The wifey says NO

Seriously, Mike, at least you have them to be able to be told you're not allowed to weather them. That's a large step ahead of most of us ;)

not so easy for me to load pic.

Photoshop and Gimp both have options for optimizing for web saving. You can get 800x600 pixel images into very reasonable file sizes without too much loss in quality.

    1994 NMRA Video

That was very enjoyable to watch - thank you for sharing (: What are the major changes you've seen in the hobby since 1994? With my limited knowledge I'd say knuckle couplers have become standard for HO, DCC has gained significant ground, and insulfoam is a new popular terrain material.

French Train Sets Rail Record 357.2 Mph

From the article ... I think that's one of the coolest things in there. I'd love to start seeing highspeed rail on our half of globe.

    Rail construction train?

I don't know what to call this to search for more pictures. My wife (and puppy) and I were in Jefferson City, MO for the weekend to take pictures of their capital building. Between the capital and the river is a small UP rail yard. I didn't take the time to get a good picture, but you can...
