    Wood trestle question.

Either one would look good depending on how high your trestle will be. Some of the more smaller ones use basically fallen trees & I would roughen skewers up slightly to keep them from looking too cylindrical. I would use the sguare stock for the much taller trestle because more of your work...

How to make a realistic ground pattern?

I use to use the cardboard strips & still use Structolite on metal screen. I use mostly various thicknesses of foam mostly now. You can stop by with permission on some commercial job sites that are in the foundation or roof phase & they will give you the scrap foam. This stuff is used to line the...

Looking real good Bill. I know what you mean when it comes to using commercial windows. Most of mine are as well but with a little imagination they cut up very well into most any size. Build a table saw?

Bulldogowner is right, tilt your blade a little more, make sure you keep the guide against your wood & the down fall for this not many cuts per blade. Also like mentioned don't cut so deep on first pass. Sometimes you can snip the very end of your blade off after a few cuts & readjust your blade...

Looking good there Bill. When you go working on that bathroom of yours make sure you make the transition well between an Engine House & real BR. You know a BR in the theme of an engine house may not be a bad idea, of coarse the Misses might not like it too much. I know the pain when it comes to...
