    Ordering from Atlas.com

I've emailed Atlas but now I'm a little worried. The two cars I wanted that were on Ebay sold for $38 and $39. I about passed out when I saw it. I will probably try and email another internet company to see if they can get em cheaper but if atlas has them it seems as though they would be a...

    Ordering from Atlas.com

I have decided on a few cars that I really want from atlas. The problem is no one has them. I have looked literally everywhere possible on the net. Every add from MR and about half the ads in the Back of MR of local hobby shops. My question is if they show as available on their website to order...

    First Weathered Boxcar

Yeah, I went and looked at a prototype so I sprayed it again and added some "mud", as spit suggested. Pretty happy with it but I will probably take some water and a brush and fade out part of it on the railbox. The Conrail worked out well for not expecting it too. I had sprayed it with dullcote...

There we go. I may need to wait till night time to take another pic. Seems like I just get too much light during the day coming through that window.

    First Weathered Boxcar

Not necessarily wanting to over do the weathering, I used my black wash I used for ballasting and then used a building brown for the trucks. Now I just want to tone down the roof a little more but not sure how.

Way to go John. You know we need pics and you have to run trains for a good week before you think about ballasting. ;)

Unofficial Gauge Members Links Page Updates

re Jon, Mine is not hardly a site since all I have on there are a few pics. I do plan on working on it but as the pics show I have as much work on the site as I do on the RR. No real name for either so I guess just use my Gauge name. Thanks. http:\\www.raidercte.netfirms.com

    pipette

sounds like one of those coffee stir/ straws. Heck you can go to the gas station on the corner and pick up a hand full of those and a cup of coffee. Sounds good for adding a little glue to the base of my trees. The elmer's glue bottle sometimes is a little wide but that is what I usually use.

    Did somebody say trees?

apparently the gaurd dogs, barbed wire fencing, armed guards and patriot missles has kept them "loggers" off my acreage. Trees just seem to pop up out of nowhere.

    First model help

I need some ideas I need some ideas on how to weather these guys. If these are used for gasoline, would they have rust? The only one I have ever seen in real life is about 2 or 3 hours away and I don't know if it still there after quite a few years. Thanks.

    Did somebody say trees?

Here's my first tree. It was suppose to be a bit taller but when I was trying to straighten the trunk a little, well, it broke. Still not bad for the rookie. The trunk and limbs are a clip off a dead Mum flower plant. Then I used some ground WS foam and elmers spray adhesive.
