I just came back from a rail trip in Alaska. I saw so many modeling possibilities! I especially liked the frreight car barges I saw on the ocean part of the trip. I'd like to correspond with other HO modelers interested in the Alaska RR. Thanks!

Looks like a powerful tool. What do they do with the data they capture from your traffic? What's the affiliate percentage?

We "selectively compress" a lot of things and otherwise modify reality to accommodate unavoidable constraints. Although "purists" will probably tsk-tsk, the Model Power HO track, especially, looks way better than the hand-laid and gets my vote!

I agree with you about this. I expect to see them through various venues - eBay, internet stores, etc. - at lower than that price after they're released. I'm wondering if anyone else will take a shot at producing these ... correctly, of course. If so, I would wait. But I'm such a KCS fanatic...

Rob, Please do scan and post - I like the idea of having a 2nd, much smaller, layout to work on - for several reasons.

Regardless of your layout parameters, I agree with Russ about building your large layout using Barrows' "dominoes". When I acquired my current 31' x 29' layout space, the sight of that huge empty room was exciting ... and somewhat intimidating. Breaking the whole project down into 2' x 4'...
