    Primers for airbrushing acrylics?

Hi guys. I just thought I would add my own thoughts. 1: wash parts to be painted with soap and warm water. I have heard some guys give as rinse with vinegar and this helps open the pours to help the paint stick. 2: Sand lightly with 400 grit sand paper. where you can easily. Helps the...

    Your thoughts needed

Hi Larry, I took a look at the photo you posted and thought I would give it a try in the dimentions you stated (36x72) and I could get it all to fit except for on of the sidings on the left hand yard. Of course the radi is smaller than 22". What do you think of this. Christopher the...

My goodness, Mc F! Has it been 21 months since your daughter said hello? Where does the time go? I'll bet she is growing like a weed. I remember you just moved into yer new digs too, about that time. My gord, but we go from piller to post in this life. Funny thing is we are all different, yet...

    Back Woods Water Tower Kit-bash

Thanks lads. I wasn't happy with the way the shingles are too thick in parts. I got some real ceder that the next bunch will be split from. :thumb: The nail holes are made with a needle to make the hole and a .05 mm mechanical pencil to add the black spot. I'm not happy with the way...

    Back Woods Water Tower Kit-bash

When I was at the train show a few months ago, one of the things I bought was a Campbell kit of "the back woods water tower". I decided to use strip wood to replace the corrugated tin. I really like the tin and want to save it for other more worthy models. Also, I got a bunch of strip wood...

I like it. Is there a mill somewhere? Showers? My loggers don't have no showers, they just take a dip in the creek. :D TrainClown ;)

    Introduction and questions

It's good to see a new logger on board. Welcome. :) I'm a logger myself (HO turn of the century) Sorry I can't answer yer questions. I've no idea what a gumstump is, and you will have to get the N scale guys to fill you in on the track. What is a gumstump anyway? TrainClown ;)

    Table/Other Advice

Table Tennis or Ping Pong tables are quite large, they fold up and roll away if you want. You might pick one up cheap at a yard sale. When my mother-in-law moved, she sold her table for $50. It had a steel frame, a 6.5' x 12' hard board top, it folded up and rolled around. TrainClown ;)

    Someting odd is going on

Well, we do have a cable box on the living room set, so I guess that's the culprit. It's strange because it never did that before. That's what the farmer said when the cow died. :D thanks for all your help. :thumb: TrainClown ;)

    model river shots

Looks real good! The only thing I might suggest is an A/I wash on the cliffs to bring out the details. A/I wash is made from 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol and 2 or 3 drops of black India ink. Washed over the rocks with a broad soft brush will allow the A/I to pool in low spots and cling to...

    Someting odd is going on

We have 2 TV sets. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. Often, when my wife is in bed and I'm scooting around, we have the same station on and I walk back and forth and watch both sets. An odd thing is going on right now. We are watching the news, and the set in the living room is...

I am so hosed right now....

All is not lost. Things happen for a reason. When one door closes, another one opens up. Perhaps it's the job causing a lot of these problems. Hang in there and go with the flow. Take some time to get yourself better. I know what it's like to be afraid of a life change, but this is part...
