    need help with Bachmann 2-8-0

Check out the Bachmann service site Bachmann Trains Online - Service / Parts If this is an older 2-8-0 I would recommend sending it in with the $15.00 service fee for repair. Note as the likelyhood is that as it is no longer in production it is unlikely to be repaired and you will be offered...

    Stewart FT light side (Why)

A check of the Bowser/Stewart site indicates that none of the B units have the side number boards. Other than Stewart has any other manufacturer (excluding brass) modeled the side numbers?

    Stewart FT light side (Why)

The Stewart FT's come in two styles, one with the side number lighting and one without. I have both in the GN livery.

    Bachmann Spectrum 2-8-0 question

Could someone clarify for me if the Spectrum 2-8-0 has a 3 pole or a 5 pole motor. The specs on the Bachmann site indicate it is a 5 pole, however some one else insists that is probably a mistake, as they have or had one and it was a 3 pole Mabuci motor and that for Bachmann to have changed...

    Bachmann Spectrum loco purchase

I agree with the comment that the K4 would I identify the PRR association, I would also suggest that you go for the mountain, or if you really want a smooth runner go for the Spectrum 2-6-6-2 (I was so impressed with the first I bought a second for my roster).

Steam locos compatible with 18" radius track

All of the above will run on 18" radius tracks, the 4-8-2 Spectrum Light not the Heavy which requires 22" minimum. Keep in mind that the larger engines will certainly not look their best though, I would suggest if possible nothing less than 22" except for hidden areas. And of course the...

Does anyone have a Bachmann Spectrum 4-4-0?

I have two of the 4-4-0's and am very happy with them overall. As I decided to keep my motive power on the smaller branch size. I am now in the process of getting rid of my larger engines for now. Will mothball them and decide later if I really want to get rid of them of hold on to them for some...

    Another long absent modeler

Hi, just getting back into the hobby after a 25 years absence. I came across a couple of packed boxes that containted the bulk of my HO railroad collection a few months ago. In the boxes were the usual Riverossi collection of a few steam engines as well as MDC models and of course a couple of...
