    N to HOn3

I don't know... I guess that the only way to find out is through trial and error... It's only 1mm, so it should be doable for most equipment. Although, you might have to adjust the sideframes on some stuff so the wheels don't rub...

    N to HOn3

Actually... If you use N-scale mechanisms and track, you will have HOn30 (HOn2.5, HOn2 1/2, or whatever you want to call it....) Some might even argue HOn2... N-gauge track is 9mm... HOn3-gauge track is 10mm... So, if a rivit counter were to attack, you'd want to have a set of...

    Did we ever....

Set up a "Junior Gauge?" I know that this was discussed a short while ago, but I don't remember the tread and/or what happened.... The model train display that I am assisting in setting up at the Library may generate some interest and I was wondering if there was a place where younger...

    Another Question About Cutting Foam

If you're not using a hot-wire foam cutter... Here's a suggestion... To avoid all the foam fuzzies from sticking to everything.... I have heard that you can use a spray bottle full of water. Set it to spray a fine mist of water to dampen the foam. This neutralizes the static...

    Another Question About Cutting Foam

Home made hot wire foam cutter. I built my own hot wire foam cutter from brass rod and ni-chrome wire. I cut grades into my modules with it. I put "shoes" on the brass rod to limit the depth of the cut and used a soldering iron to cut channels for the brass rod to follow. Then, I used...

Life-Like, Tyco or Bachman Santa Fe F7 ???

Bachmann Spectrum series... Just to be picky... :p The new Bachmann Spectrum series is a FT-A Unit. Not an F7-A. It is a much older (Origional?) F-Unit. The first F-Unit was built by EMC (Electromotive Company): the FT. EMC was bought out by General Motors to become EMD...

    Removing CA glue shine

The only other thing beyond dullcoat would be to give the area a light sanding... A little bit of 400 or 600 wet/dry sand paper on the end of a stick. and gently rough up the area to dull the shine.
