    PE Wire Greaser car (Suydam)

Time to re-truck Hi David, Yes, I get that impression... sign1 Kind of a hassle to set up a jig for only one truck. The side-frames are more than just Aesthetic, they're actually holding the ends of the axles. I'm thinking that if one gear has split after a few decades, the others...

    PE Wire Greaser car (Suydam)

Time to Re-Truck Hi David, Last things first. I'm afraid that you are going to have to de-solder those side-frames. :curse: Hold the side-frame gently with a pair of needle nose plyers and apply the tip of the soldering iron to the inside of the truck frame. As soon as the solder is...

    New Electric Lines in Canada?

The only rational here is that the schedule for VIA trains has them passing through the best scenery north of Superior in the middle of the night anyway. Rocks and trees and dark, dark, dark..... There's been talk of electrifying from Montreal to Toronto before. Only talk... It'll...

    The Exploding Airbrush....

It sounds like a clog issue. Is the paint fully mixed and thinned? Has the paint been strained to remove any lumps or particulate? The Airbrush might be fine. Maybe it's the quality/age of the paint that is the problem.

    MagLev Trains?

Electric Trains... Hi Rob, Southern Ontario was once criss-crossed with electric Interurban Lines along the Niagara Peninsula and the north shore of Lake Erie. There was plenty of traffic on those lines, and they were cheaper to run relative to steam. With the reduction of traffic...

    Please Help a Newbie

Newby Help Hi Nathan, I'd like to help you out... For 3'6" gauge you might be better off in S-Scale. 1:64 / 3/16" to the foot. Known as Sn42 or Sn3.5. That way, you can use RTR HO/OO track and mechanisms and scratch/bash the superstructure to fit. It would be easier and cheaper...

    The joys of prototype freelancing!

M, W, or SC... Right On! I really like Freelancing too. Anyone can buy RTR, but scratching and bashing is where the fun is. But I also like to follow a certain amount of prototype practice to give things some plausability.
