    Barney & Smith Boxcar

Please post more progress here, as it's related to this boxcar, or post it in another thread and provide a link. BTW did you do that insanely realistic colorization of that old D&SP glass-plate slide? It looks like I could be standing there.

    Barney & Smith Boxcar

This is MOST EXCELLENT!!! :thumb: You should really enter this in an NMRA contest, I'd be willing to bet you'd take first up to at least the Regionals, if not the nationals, if you weather it a smidge. Wow. EDIT: Those scratchbuilt trucks blow me away, insanely good!

    Major Steam Locomotive Kitbash!

New, from the Erecting Halls of The Mission Valley and Pacific Railway in Sunny San Diego, comes Their #3! It's a Balwdin product from 1898, fitted with traditional Victorian-era embelishments, such as Polished Brass Cylinder Heads, Running Board edges and sand filler cap. Also converted to an...

    How do you tell if----------

No Classifcation Lights above the Numberboards? The Fact that you're even questioning this? Wait a few years until the enviro-friendly paint wears off, or fades, revealing the inner SOO paintjob? Just read the name on the side of the Locomotive? No Harm in lifting her skirt or...

    Weekend Photo Fun 10-12 10-14

It's really funny, from a distance it looked like the plane was sitting on multi-colored shag carpet! LOL! Very beautiful plane the 787 Dreamliner is, and with such WILD engine nacelles to reduce noise turbulence!

New Contest This one is for a Prize

The only problem with sheet brick, Rlundy, is that you cannot make complex "runs" of brick easily, such as the part over the doors, windows, and entryway. Look at the perris Station on this page and all the squirrely directions the bricks go.

    UP's GP15-1's

I've wondered that myself. The MP-15 also has tunnel-motor style grills, perhaps EMD was testing performance with that style of air-intake to see if it would turn out to be more successful as a method of air intake.

New Contest This one is for a Prize

Is this structure too complicated? I have the drawings (with measurements) if you'd be willing to tackle this structure. Also, I know quite a few people who have looked to have this kit built.

    UP's GP15-1's

Not really, All GP7's and 9's are more than 45 years old today. There's a 50+ Year BL2 in branchline service today, and How about those indestructable GE 70Tonners, over 50 years and still soldiering on on the Modesto Empire Traction AND the SMV. All SD40's are about the same age as this GP15-1...
