Glad to see you back at it, Bill. I missed the photo tours of your layout. A word of caution about that kitchen ceiling - if you're not careful, it could lead to a whole new house due to a strange condition known as "creeping upgrade"! :thumb:

What era draws your attention the most?

PHANTOM POST ALERT! The forum has done it again. This post, allegedly made "today", is in fact dated almost 3 weeks ago.

While not everyone is as energized as a few of us, nor as connected as others, not everyone is ready to go down the tubes, either.

Inglenook / Time Saver Switching Combo

Thanks, Dwight, but the question was, and still is, was the Inglenook Yard copied from a real-life prototype. The answer has been given - No - it was obviously developed solely as a puzzle for modelers and not intended to portray reality in any way.

Inglenook / Time Saver Switching Combo

Make one good one and cast it. You can modify the castings slightly for individuality if needed.

    Just A couple of Photos

I spotted these two items during a recent visit to Yreka, CA. I could not get into the museum grounds to verify the maker of the steam tractor. The building, which looks like it would make a fine railroad dept and is built along the old right-of-way, is, in fact, the old hospital.

Inglenook / Time Saver Switching Combo

Does the Inglenook switching puzzle represent any real prototype yard anywhere?

I don't see how that is possible. We have no common ground between us.

That's because the comments alternate with far too much frequency.
