    Robin, I can see the printed side of the cereal board on some of the rafters, is the printed side on the top of the roof? If so, what do you paint over it with? Or will you use some thing to simulate roofing material? Looks good ,as always I don't see how you N/Z guys can work that small.

    Nice work Ed. I noticed your model has the roof overhanging the walls, one feature of the saltbox style is there's no overhang, just a rake mold that the clapboards run up under. ( Just me being an architecture freak) It's said this is a result of thrifty yankee builders making no more roof...

    Luckily for all of us, we're not graded on spelling here at the gauge. As for the black smoke question, since liquid smoke isn't really smoke, it's steam, It doesn't seem likely that it could be made black.

    Bumped a car and it fell off the track, off the edge of the benchwork, and took the other eight cars and the loco with it. :curse: :curse: :curse: No major damage, a few broken couplers and mad as hail. :mad: :mad: :mad: Good thing the floor is carpeted.

    I want to second Shaygetz' recomendation to stick with low voltage. AC power on your layout isn't a good idea. Christmas lites can be run by the power supply that runs answering machines, cordless phones, etc. to do this, you need to know a little about electricty, if the power supply puts out...
