Ha Bach, I have lots of old Tyco rolling stock. Some of the locos run ok and others have the drive gears removed and roll as a dummy. And there's the two F-units that wouldn't even roll good(giant wheel flanges on code 83) they sit on a unused siding "waiting to be scraped".Still using lots of...

    Wiring help please

One problem with using dielectric grease is that the definition of dielectric is a material that will not conduct electricity. Preventing the lose of conductivity with nonconductive grease doesn't seem like a good idea. IMHO

    What makes it better?????

Ha Xavier, The A units faced opposite ways so they didn't need to be turned for a return trip. All that is required was for the train to be coupled to the other end of the loco's and the crew moving to the led loco.

    What makes it better?????

Ha Xavier, Some of the features that make them "better" are, all wheel electrical pick-up, all wheel drive, a can motor with flywheels, DCC ready, much finer details etc. The lower price stuff may have some of these but not many. For example I have a $20 Bachmann GP-50 that is all wheel drive...

    Harold's MRC article

Harold's RMC article I wanted to say that Harold's (hminky) article in the March RMC on making grass from faux fur was great. I'm glad they gave him enough space to really explain the process in detail. Great work Harold :thumb:
