Nice Oliver. I really like seeing the build pictures of these VERY tiny, simple yet detailed, creations. I enjoy the fact that your covering different subjects as well.
Good work man.
I got some late breaking news for you bub. Your link not only contained a scan of the former retail model but the site it was on, hosts a myriad of scanned models and 'rapidshare' style links of other designer's models. So I can officially say that you did not avoid contributing to piracy...

They appear on Ebay every once in a while and they are out of print. I got mine for $30 w/ shipping.
Here is an example of how cheap the kits can be verses retail...
Wow ... thats quite good from what I can see. My take on these are that it's best that the model not need to transform. The different configurations would be better off as individual models.
That and it keeps the designers sanity in tact.
I'm kind of surprised that we don't have a stickied thread with links to design tips and strategy threads. I think there were some downloadable PDF's though on the subject.
Not only that but consider the pylon above it... one secondary hull has the Torpedo housing and the other secondary hull has the sensor housing. So your model could just use a slight adjustment on the secondary hull. No biggie.
Keep up the good work. This is probably my favorite Federation...
Yes it's a great series. I think the whole 'built up' world is interesting. I love the old style technology mixed with futuristic and unknown physics.
Designing all the Boosted Vanships would be a great project.
