    Swiss Krokodyl

Hey Grum, It is a beautiful beast and has no real purpose on a New England RR but..... I always wanted one and got the chance! Finally found the "hooks" (with strong magnifier!) to hold the pantographs down..... thanks to all who responded to my call for help! Dick

Thanks, Sandro... I was hoping there might be small tabs/hooks like on the RR GG-1 but, I couldn't see any. I'll get out my magnifyer and check again! :thumb: Dick

    Big Boy N Scale

Like the Challenger, a Big Boy used to be available from Concor (made by Rivarossi) but it is long out of production. Once in a while, one will show up on ebay. They were available in brass, also. http://www.visi.com/~spookshow/bigboy.html http://www.visi.com/~spookshow/sakbigboy.html...

    Swiss Krokodyl

I have an Arnold Swiss Crocodile loco and need a couple questions answered: On the model, is there a way to put the pantographs down and have them stay down? (as with the Rivarossi GG1) On the prototype, did they operate with one pantograph up or both up or either one or both? Thanks...

    The Last Word

Dick, I've been "the last word" on a lot of threads and have felt just like you about it! I'd like to think Ralph is right! However, just think of it this way: it's a dirty job, and somebody has to step up and do it! :p ;) :thumb: Dick

    Chevy, Ford, or Mopar?

I have three of the Spectrum 2-8-0's and had great luck with them straight out of the box. Same luck with the Spectrum 4-8-2's. The Kato 2-8-2 is a great loco but without the traction tires added, they are not strong pullers. The spectrum 4-8-2 don't haul as well as the 2-8-0. I don't have...

    Bachmann Steam Locomotive

I have had several of the older Bachmann 4-8-4's and had pretty good luck with them. On three of them, I added tender pick-up which improved performance. I would recommend you look for one of the newer releases, though, as they have an improved motor, improved pick-up, and blackened wheels and...

    Bashed Business Car

Thanks for all the kudos, friends. Sal, The two trucks on each end are mounted on a span bolster on each end which, in turn, are mounted to the car floor. Thus, when entering a curve, the trucks can pivot on the span bolsters which can also pivot. Dick
