Maine style garage in HO scale

Very nicely done! I too, would like to see the scene this is going into. Is there a specific part of Maine that you're modeling?, or are you just capturing a "Down East flavor"? Your photos raise the question, why printed paper, when you do such nice work from scratch?

Logging East Tennessee on the C&S RR

Tom, Not only is the photography great, the background paintings help immensely to put everything in context! Do you do your own backgrounds? If so, how about a quick "how to"? Overall beautiful work!:thumb: keep the pics coming!

    Rivet Punch Question

The Archer, AR88014 set would probably be the best for N scale, the rivets are 0.008", which converts to 1.25" full size.

The light at the end of the tunnel

Les, one little bit of friendly advice.............don't wear camoflage! When the "light at the end of the tunnel" is the overhead kitchen light reflecting off the nose of a .45 cal ACP round, in the chamber of a colt M1911, aimed at your own head ...

    WS Realistic Water

I do know that the WS Real Water product WILL find the smallest "leak", and escape through it! I also know that the water area of my Ntrak module, which was plywood, sanded, painted, and sealed with clear varnish, built up depth with each new application of Real Water. Plaster cloth...

Could someone point me in the direction of the exit?

What I have found here, is a microcosim of the world society. As such, I have also found that culture, geography, coloquial speach, and attitude, all form our means of responding to others. What is perfectly normal and natural for one culture, within that culture, is insulting, degrading, or...

Next Time I Should be Patient

Yeah, when I finished my SD-60 kitbash...poof!! there they were! kit, and RTR! So!, I did an SD-50 kitbash, and it was several years before that one was released in plastic! My C&NW GP15-1 kitbash remained a "one-of-a-kind" until Smokey Valley released their kit. I also have one of the...

    Super trees

scenic cement It's not scenic, and, for trees, it's more like cement(heavy) than adhesive for leaves. I would recommend the prescribed preservation technique from the "manufacturer / distributor". I would recommend clear gloss spray (rattle can from Ace hardware, or equivalent it's less...

    Super trees

For my purposes, weeds, used to make trees must follow these rules: 1. They must look like scale trees.(or be able to be modified) 2. They must be strong enough to withstand the handeling necessary to make them into trees, and hold the foliage.(they can't be too fragile) 3. They must "stand...
