Zeno of Elea wasn't thinking straight. Before you can get to somewhere, you have to be elsewhere, and if you're elsewhere, you are for sure going to miss your train, so you can never arrive, q.e.d.wall1wall1wall1

Did someone mention 'devil's advocate? For sheer efficiency, comparing load with load, you can't beat steam. In 1878 the reported efficiency of the A1 'terrier' class 0-6-0 was 20.15 lbs of coal burned per mile run. This would be: pulling 6 units of 4-wheel coaches, each about 30ft long...

What topic would you like to know more about?

I would very much like to know more about: US HO rtr brand names and their build quality. Collectability/ rarity of US HO rtr locos and wagons. In regard to US prototype wagons, what are the basic types, i.e. what do all those A.C.R.O.N.Y.M.s mean in plain English, please?

Necroposting can be a riot of fun.sign1 In passing - hobos these days often have cameras and camera phones. They are leaving on the web a legacy of photos of rare, redundant and derelict stock and locations which hobbyists and industrial archaeologists will thank them for in years to come...
