Eastern Tn logging on the DG CC & W RR 1928

Been looking for a figure to use as a statue on the court house lawn. Ordered this 38 mm figure of a confederate general off e bay, expected delivery in a couple days. Well the courthouse square needed some work, and I had lots of time while the layered acrylic water effects were drying at...

While working on the support bents for the mill race, I cut some paper towels to show where the water falls will go. I used a wire to tilt one of the led shop light fixtures , which puts a lot more light on the back aisle.

The "Original" Kittom Lumber Company. Part #2

I have used acrylic gloss medium , which is similar to Modpodge in the past. On my big river , my riverboat would stick to it, so I’m going to use epoxy on my new big river.

The Blue Ridge Stemwinder in On30

Looking good Tom! Glad to see the progress you made with the hopper. I found a bag of cut wood. From that project, which would make it easier to set up the mini table saw, so If you need to make more, maybe we could fire up the sawmill and cut the lumber for more. Like the plan!

Life does indeed get in the way, but yesterday, when I was hoping to get the yard squared away, it rained all day, and I was left with some train time. At the end of the back aisle, on the top level, I have been slowly working on scenery between the narrow gauge right of way (no track down...

    Brass locos

This is my most recent project. Was following an auction, but was going to be on the road in rural Texas when the auction ended, so I put #1 son on the auction. He won the auction , said he went over my limit, wouldn’t tell me how much; said it did not matter because it was my birthday...

I got the return loop closed up, with a gap in the inside rail so the power routing switches. It just needs testing to see if I wired the reversible polarity on the Southern main down the helix between the return loop in Harlow, and the onein Southern Staging. I just have the wires twisted...

Short on Peco code 100 flex, don’t have enough to close all 3 loops , so for now I will have one return loop, with two two track stub end staging yards. Am going to be broke for a while, so Ihave to work with supplies on hand.

Roadbed going in on the front Aisle staging. And the track is hooked up. Here is The switch ladder. There are under the tie uncouplers under the inside two tracks., but not the outside track. This due to the length, is already larger than any yard on my layout, and I haven’t...

Thanks Tom, slow going from here, but IIm poking at getting the first couple switches pre wired with drops. There is not enough room above the staging tracks to make working on them easy. I’m going to do the back track first, when that loop is in , with agap in the middle, I’ll be able to...
